Biothane LLC has become a founding member of the American Biogas Council, an advocacy group for building the biogas industry in the US.
The American Biogas Council represents a full range of renewable biogas and anaerobic digestion interests, and focuses on three primary action areas:
-
Improving industry representation in government by providing guidance to lawmakers regarding the benefits of biogas and anaerobic digestion.
-
Increasing biogas awareness through education and outreach
-
Broadening the reach of biogas by adding prominent industry leaders to the Council's membership database.
Per their literature, The American Biogas Council supports public policies that focus on increasing project funding from federal sources for anaerobic digester equipment, establishing tax credits for the production of biogas, qualifying biogas for renewable energy credits, and broadening the definition of renewable energy standards to include energy generated from biogas.
Biothane is proud to be a founding member of the American Biogas Council and looks forward to helping make positive changes in US renewable energy policy
